Eindhoven, 26 September 2024 – Sendcloud, the complete shipping platform for e-commerce, announces the appointment of Amelia Scott as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In her new role, Amelia will lead efforts to drive growth across both existing and new markets. She will also align the go-to-market strategy to boost sales efficiency while maintaining a continued focus on customer-centricity.
The rising demand for accurate solutions and changing customer expectations in e-commerce make the shipping experience a decisive factor in customer satisfaction and loyalty. Findings by Sendcloud reveal that 44% of consumers abandon shopping carts if delivery expectations are not met, and 55% value the ability to adjust their delivery preferences even after shipment. Sendcloud helps merchants meet the demand for a better shipping experience by providing a solution that centralises and automates the entire shipping process.
“With over 25,000 customers, this is an incredibly exciting time to join Sendcloud. I’m thrilled to help drive the next phase of growth and ensure we continue transforming the way businesses handle their shipping operations. I look forward to enabling more merchants to improve their shipping experience for their customers,” says Amelia.
Amelia brings over ten years of experience in B2B SaaS sales and has received multiple accolades, including recognition as a Top 10 UK Sales Leader in 2023. In her previous role as Global Vice President of Sales at Culture Amp, Amelia successfully scaled high-performing sales teams across multiple regions, driving substantial global growth. As Sendcloud’s new CRO, she will play a decisive role in scaling the company’s revenue.
Amelia’s appointment is a key part of Sendcloud’s strategy to become the number one shipping platform in Europe and beyond. Under her leadership, the company will optimise its sales processes, drive product adoption and scale operations to support its expansion roadmap.
“Having Amelia on board puts us in a fantastic position to accelerate our growth and deliver greater value to our merchants. As someone who has been closely involved in leading our sales efforts, it gives me confidence that her expertise in global sales operations will ensure we continue to scale effectively and deliver exceptional results,” comments Sabi Tolou, CCO at Sendcloud, who will now focus on expanding key logistics partnerships as part of the company’s ongoing strategy.
Earlier this year, Sendcloud was featured in the FT1000 and Top 100 Next Unicorns as it steers ahead on its mission to solve shipping challenges globally. With its new key appointment, the company expects to further enhance its partnership model, focusing on a more strategic and consultative approach.
