How does global tracking work?

Whenever we receive an update from a carrier (PostNL, DHL, etc), Sendcloud fires an internal signal announcing that the parcel’s state has changed. Our tracking feature then uses this information to update the tracking page and send tracking updates.

How does tracking work with multicollo shipments?

For multicollo shipments, where each parcel has a unique tracking number but is sent together, we send a single tracking email per status update rather than sending multiple emails for each parcel. This approach ensures that merchants receive consolidated updates for the entire shipment.

Does global tracking work with every carrier?

For all the carriers that we support it is possible. Here are our main international carriers:
- UPS Global
- DHL Express
- FedEx

What status updates would my client receive?

We have a total of more than 500 status update per carrier available, that we break down in these main ones for your customers:

    • Ready for shipment: This message will be sent when the label is printed within the Sendcloud panel.
    • Out for delivery: This message will be sent when the shipment receives the first physical scan from the carrier (most chosen option).
    • Delayed: This message will be sent when the carrier indicates that the delivery moment is delayed.
    • Ready for pick-up: This (optional) message is sent when the package is ready for collection at the service point.
    • Delivered: This message will be sent when the shipment has been successfully delivered.
